The learning objectives of this review article are to identify benign vs. malignant criteria in bone tumor diagnosis and also to differentiate the types of bone tumors and their characterization. Based on the Lodwick classification an overview of the three main types of bone destruction patterns visible on radiographs will be given with many examples.
